Babbling baby

Larry is in such a cute almost-talking stage. He tries to say everything, but nothing really makes sense. For example, tonight he really wanted to say family prayer, so I was helping him... and it sounded something like this:

Me: Thank you for this day
Larry: Uh Bah Do Di Bah.
Me: Bless the food
Larry: Ooh num yah do.

And et cetera. But it was sooooo cute how he was so determined to try to repeat everything. So here's a little video of his attempts at saying a few things... and Dawna's subsequent attempt to get some attention...some of them sorta sound like what they are supposed to be... sorry for Dawna's shaky videography... perhaps it might be best to avoid motion sickness to minimize the window and just listen :)

True Love is...

True love is a husband who cleans out the fridge and does the dishes while I take a nap :)

What has True love done for you this week?

Ode to a Quest!

To Joe and Cami:
You're the best! I love you!
Hope you like your cheesy poem :)

Ode to a Quest

A sense of Freedom shown
Coming from the north
And with it brought forth
A Quest for us to own.

Love and Luck have given
seven seats and more--
AC, Sliding Door,
Happily be driven.

"Too Tired" yes, I whine
"Stuck inside our home
Let me out to roam,
Four-tired car of mine!"

Our Civic cannot fit
Three car seats in tow--
Add another row;
We'll need it in a bit.

A sister and brother
care enough for real
Thank you! Now I feel...
Like a whole new mother!

Oh my Happy Wedding Day!

August 29, 2009: such a happy day!

Daniel and Karla Koberstein were married in the San Diego temple! I have to admit that it was the best party I've been to in 4 years and 8 months--extra points to anyone who can figure out why :)

It was a rather warm day... although I don't know what other kind of day there is in August in San Diego...
Gwen and Mike, the native Arizonans, were the only ones with the foresight to bring chilled bottled water... and thankfully they brought enough to share... Really, I was just glad I didn't have to be dressed like this poor fellow.... Way too many layers...
The two of them were positively glowing with joy all day. It's such an inspiring sight to see a temple sealing of two wonderful and righteous people! And so, the number of Kobersteins in the world continues to grow... LOOK OUT WORLD!

Congratulations to the newest Bro. and Sis. Koberstein! I'm sooooooo excited to have another sister in the family! We may yet be able to stand up to the army of computer geeks!
