Behold How Cute...
This last Friday and Saturday Jon and Dawna and I were in the dance production "Behold the Light." Jon's brother Lynn got us in since we actually missed auditions :)
Jon and I got to do a couple dances together, but since he's a man--a very rare commodity in the dance company--he got to do a couple other dances, too... we finished up just in time, though... it was starting to get a little difficult to leap around and be all high energy with this baby belly in the way...
Dawna got to be in the "Little stars" dance. I didn't get a clip of her actually performing on stage, but this is her and a couple of her little friends practicing. The Little Stars dance consisted of: 1) Dancing to your place on stage. 2) making a shape with your arms and legs. 3) taking a turn dancing with the star lady, and 4) Getting a little light from the star and dancing off stage again. Simple, yes, but it's about the cutest thing I've ever seen. Dawna really got into it the first night. She was the last kid to dance off the stage and just took her sweet time twirling and taking it all in... the other performances she blended in a bit better with her colleagues, but still so cute!
This is Dawna with the "Christmas Star," the major character in the production... she's sparkly... (we all laughed because she came to the show with an Edward Cullen shirt on that said "REAL men Sparkle")
Here's all the men in the show... the one on the left technically just gave the opening prayer every night... but still, he was important!
Me and my cute husband being a very good sport about his drag queen stage make-up :) Anyone who has ever worn stage make-up understands... not so fun...
Our family in the opening and finale costumes! Nana Severson brought Dawna a flower and she hugged it the rest of the night... she's sleeping with it by her bed as we speak and changes the water in the vase about 5 times a day... Nice belly there, huh???
It was an absolute BLAST to dance with my family... I don't know if we'll get a chance to do it again, but it was soooo much fun! It's such a beautifully written show... it follows the light of Christ as represented by the Christmas star--which shares the light with those little light cubes (I'm holding one in the last picture).

How cute is that!!! How much fun. We just finished our stage time too, it was fun while it lasted, but I am sure glad to have more free time. (or should I say less crammed time?)
Oh, I wish I could've seen Dawna dance! And you and Jon too. I think Jon does NOT look pretty in makeup. No matter how much you put on him, he still looks like a guy. But it's pretty funny to see the pictures posted up on your blog!
Your belly looks amazing in that last one. AND YOUR HAIR IS SO LONG!
Awesome! Karla and I really wanted to be there to watch you guys perform. Princess Fiona? Dawna is such a funny girl. Congratulations!
Danielle, I don't think you realize how incredibly silent you have become! We miss you. Did you find out for sure if you are having a girl?
